In 2002, KeySpan Energy and LIPA (Long Island Power Authority) chose PeakSkills Learning Systems to develop an eight CD-ROM eLearning series that simulates KeySpan's Substation Automation System.

KeySpan and LIPA noted that PeakSkills was chosen for the award because of its excellent performance with seven prior R&D Initiative programs.

The project involved simulating the entire Substation Automation System to train operators, installers and engineers. PeakSkills' team of learning specialists developed the content and learning design, technology and multimedia, with input from content experts at KeySpan Energy.
